Phew~ ok, my blogskin is somewhat fixed... just that the image can't be seen but i don't really care as long as it's neat and tidy and the blog contents don't mysteriously disappear.

Very tired today. In running order....
Went out for lunch.
Bought a new sofa which will come in Jan.
Bought groceries.
Drew at the playground.
Will be drawing another piece later tonight.

Oh! Uma and I are going to see Hoobastank's concert on New year's eve! Whoohoo! We were very lucky to get 2 tickets for the price of 1. So each had to pay only $31 instead of $60+! YAY!!

And 2 new female colleagues will be joining my company. A more experienced graphic designer and an admin. Both looked very young. I hope we can get along since i'll be working with the other designer often from now on.

I hope we'll have a company lunch. I like meals with the whole company.

S-S-S-S-S-S-STARRY SKY IS GETTING AN ANIME!!!!
WHOOHOOOO!!!!

I am TOTALLY %^&*@#@(*&^$@)*# EXCITED about this.
I just hope the animation studio does a FANTASTIC job on this or we otome gamers will go on strike and demo outside their office. xDD

Actually i should be EXTREMELY HAPPY WEEEHEHEHE HAHAHA abt it but....
I am lah but with small letters. Extremely happy.
Reason being SS will not be an exclusive thingy for otome gamers but it'll known worldwide becos of the anime and not the game and their drama cds.
It's like i don't feel special anymore, you know?

It's great that more ppl will become SS fangirls but it doesn't feel the same as sharing the fangirlism wih fellow gamers.

I dunno how to express this frustration well. lol

AND OMG THE WINTER THEME SONG IS OUT AND I CAN'T USE MY OFFICE COMPUTER SPEAKERS!!!!!!
I NEED TO HEAR IT NOW!!!!

Ever since i read an article about Host clubs in Japan in the newspaper last year i think, i've been researching on them for curiosity reasons.

And surely there must be ppl who youtubed their visit in such clubs and i found this documentary which is actually a 1hr+ independent movie made by a british director. It won several film festival awards too.

Sadly the net doesn't have the full video but you'll get the feel of it through this vid.
Warning: It consists of sexual content... so skip tt part if you want to. (I was actually shocked)
Other than that, nth harmful.



It's an eye-opener to what we know of host clubs (eg. ouran).

These people have serious issues man, if not, they are just plain insane.
Why chug down 10 bottle of alcohol and puke out blood every night for $50,000 a month? It's not worth it!
And those female customers... i have nothing to say about them. My face just went all =____=.
Many of them are female hosts themselves and are involved in nightlife jobs and prostitution. How ironic.

So anyway this is another video that is more 'happier and light hearted', the stuff we know about host clubs on the surface.
I've read blogs of ang mohs working in Japan visiting host clubs to see-see or have a drink with their company etc.



I think just go there once is enough to experience it. It's too expensive anyway. hahaha

My brother got his driver's license recently and he's driving us to the airport (a damn straight road) for practice and dinner. I love going to the airport!!!!

With the 2nd installment of Twilight, New Moon, coming out or it's already out i dunno, everybody's going mad over it. It's IRRITATING.

To me, i'm like MEH.
I watched Twilight on the plane and it was SO FORGETTABLE that i had to think for 5-10 mins on that last movie i had watched amongst around 5 of them.
IT WAS NOTHING SPECIAL AND IT WAS SO BORING!!
I'm sorry to all Twilight fans.

It's such a teen flick man, yuck.

And what's up with the HANDSOME Robert Pattinson?
Handsome meh? Wah lao.

It's weird that i love fantasy movies, with all that vampire and werewolf stuff going on but . I do not like it (i like 10% of it for the fantasy part). Maybe becos it's a romance teen fantasy novel that i just can't get to like no matter what.
Just like Narnia's Prince Caspian movie, there was romance in it when there was actually none in the book. I was super pissed off. Caspian should be a boy, not a teen!! Argh!

Romance draws in more people but not me. Not that i don't like romance, just that i'm picky with the way alot of movies show relationships? I need substance and deeper stuff. A kind of connection that doesn't involve just kissing and hugging, you know?

With all that said, ironically i play otome games but they are different though. hahahah!

I'm back from the AFA 09 I love AniSong concert!!!!
It was so fun and awesome!
But i'm suffering from sore throat, back aches and leg and arm pains (from standing and waving the light stick). hahaha
It was like a low budget kind of concert but the singers made up for it!!

In tonight's concert, there were Nakagawa Shoko (one of my idols!), Ichirou Mizuki (the anime singer LEGEND) and Hatsune Miku (a virtual vocaloid idol, pretty lame if you ask me).

Tmr will have MAY'N (a very good singer) and some japanese rocker guitarist.

1st up was Shoko.
She's so cute in person!!! She didn't change costumes unfortunately.
And i could just feel the passion when she sang.... so moved.
And there was this part where she, being an otaku (anime geeks) herself, shouted: WE ARE OTAKU!!!
And we were all like: "YEAH!!!!" *punches light stick in air*
Haha! That was so fun.

AND she took a photo with the audience doing the Gurren Lagaan pose. WHOOO!!!
She posted on her blog immediately, as expected from the blog queen of Japan.

I was familiar with the songs becos of Lucky Star, not becos i watched those type of shows. xD
His singing was soooo good, along with with his enthusiasism and fire. xD

Getting ready to queue to get a good place to watch K-On! live dubbing tmr.

Changed blog skin cos the previous one had some photobucket error. =_=
Most of the blogskins i saved have the same problem so i had to randomly download a nice one.

So anyway, today's the day that i'll go see Nakagawa Shoko's concert!
And on Sunday i'll go with Wee Teng to enjoy the convention fully. xDD
BECAUSE Sunday has the main attractions.
2 day convention visit for the 1st time! I'm gonna tire myself out! Hopefully it'll be worth it.

I just bought the Nodame Cantabile ds game online, though i haven't paid yet. My father is reluctant to lend me his credit card. =_='''
For john's sake, i'll be paying you back lah!
And sadly, ALL of the otome ds games are like $80+, which isn't worth it at all though i'm very tempted.
I seriously think that i need a psp now. xDD

OH! GREAT NEWS!
Esme has opened a manga review blog in LJ.
